How it works
All of our full-day group tours include our Jōy Kai Signature Lunch, freshly prepared by our whānau. Every group enjoys a wholesome, generous meal served at one of our favourite spots — lakeside, orchard-side, forest, or coastal.
For guests wanting something a little different, we also take custom kai orders across all tours. From elevated picnic spreads to cultural tasting plates, we can tailor your menu to match your group’s vibe.

Served in traditional rourou (woven basket), featuring gourmet filled rolls, dessert, cheese & fruit platter. Paired with tea, coffee, Raro and sparkling water.

Collect and prepare fresh kai moana such as mussels, oysters, pipi or do some fishing and share a feast by the coast.

Choose from handpicked surf clubs, restaurants, or hidden local favourites along the way. Relax with great food, and stunning views.

A traditional hāngī-style feast cooked in ngāwhā thermal steam baskets or in the ground with natural thermal rocks. Tender meats, vegetables, and stuffing are slow-steamed to perfection. Served alongside our favourite side dishes such as raw fish, Rewana bread and steamed pudding for dessert! Served with tea, coffee and Raro.
